Affidavit in the UAE
In the UAE, an affidavit is a written declaration signed by the declarant, whose signature is attested by the notary public. We prepare the declaration and coordinate its certification.
How the declaration is certified
Under Dubai Courts’ declarations service, the notary public attests the signatures of the parties after verifying their identity, their capacity and their understanding of the document. The parties attend in person or through a representative.
Common uses
- A declaration of financial support for a visa application, known as an affidavit of support.
- A declaration of a fact required by an authority or institution.
- A parent’s consent for a child’s travel; see child travel consent.

- The facts to be declared.
- The authority or institution that will receive the declaration.
Steps

- You review and approve the draft.
- The declarant signs and the notary public attests the signature.
