What a legal notice is
Dubai Courts’ legal notices service allows a party to send a notice certified by the notary public, notifying the recipient to do or refrain from an act, or of the cancellation of a power of attorney.
What Tableegh means
Tableegh means serving the notice on its recipient. The notary public certifies the notice; service then follows the route that applies to the matter, and the proof of service is kept with the notice. Tableegh is also the name of a private Dubai company that delivers legal notifications.
When a legal notice is used
- Notices under Dubai’s tenancy law, which provides for notice through the notary public or by registered mail (Article 25 of Law No. 26 of 2007 as amended by Law No. 33 of 2008).
- Demanding the performance of an obligation or the cessation of an act.
- Notifying an agent of the cancellation of a power of attorney.

Certification by the notary public
- The notice is certified by the notary public at Dubai Courts under its legal notices service.
- Remote processing requires a valid Emirates ID.
- If the party holds a passport only, without an Emirates ID, the service requires personal attendance before the notary public.

- Recipient’s name and address.
- The subject of the notice and what is demanded.
- Supporting documents, such as the contract concerned.
